1. General Information

This Refund Policy applies to all orders placed on ikigaiya.eu and is based on our General Terms and Conditions. Ikigaiya is committed to ensuring your satisfaction and will always handle refund requests fairly and in accordance with Belgian and EU consumer law.

2. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Return Right)

You have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period begins:

  • For a single item: the day after you receive the product
  • For multiple items delivered on separate days: the day after you receive the last item
  • For recurring deliveries: the day after you receive the first delivery

To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us by email at contact@ikigaiya.eu or by registered post to Oude Diestsestraat 9, 3473 Kortenaken, Belgium. You may also use the model withdrawal form included in our General Terms and Conditions.

3. Returning Your Order

After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must return the products within 14 calendar days. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.

Products must be returned:

  • In their original condition
  • Including all components and accessories
  • In the original packaging where possible

4. Refund Processing

Once we have received your returned items, we will process your refund within 14 days.

Refunds are issued using the same payment method you used to place the original order, unless you have expressly agreed to an alternative method. No additional costs will be charged for the refund.

5. Deductions from Refunds

We reserve the right to reduce your refund to account for any decrease in the value of the returned products, if this was caused by handling the goods beyond what is necessary to assess their nature, characteristics, and functioning — i.e. in a manner that would not be permitted in a physical shop.

6. Warranty & Defective Products

You are entitled to a statutory warranty of 2 years from the date of delivery. For second-hand goods, the statutory warranty period is 1 year.

If a defect appears within this period, it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery (unless we can prove otherwise).

To report a defective product:

  1. Notify us within 2 months of discovering the defect, by email at contact@ikigaiya.eu or by registered post
  2. Return the product within 14 days of your notification

Upon receiving the defective product, we will — at your choice — repair or replace it at no cost to you. If repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable timeframe, you are entitled to a full refund.

Refunds for warranty claims are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned product, using your original payment method.

7. Damaged on Arrival

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Do not accept the delivery
  2. Take clear photos of the damage and packaging
  3. Contact us within 48 hours at contact@ikigaiya.eu

We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue and provide a replacement or refund where applicable.

8. Incorrect or Missing Items

If you received the wrong item or your order was incomplete, please contact us at contact@ikigaiya.eu as soon as possible. We will arrange a correction or refund promptly.

9. Non-Refundable Situations

We cannot issue a refund in the following situations:

  • Items lost due to an incorrect delivery address provided by the customer
  • Packages returned to us due to non-collection, refusal, or failed delivery caused by the customer — re-shipping costs apply in these cases and any refund may be reduced by return shipping fees charged by the carrier
